DAY 1

KATHMANDU

Arrive in Kathmandu, where we will meet you and transfer you to Patan, the corner of Kathmandu, and settle into a beautiful house.

DAY 2

BIRTHENTI

SANCTUARY LODGE

Fly to Pokhara, where you will meet a team of guides and porters. You will then be taken to the start of Lumle, which will take approximately one hour. Then walk 3 hours to Birethanti (940m) and stay at Sanctuary Lodge.

DAY 3

GHANDRUK

HIMALAYA LODGE

Today you go north to the high mountains of Annapurnas, you climb the mountain to the village of Ghandruk (2,012m), about 5 hours. There are many stops for drinks along the way, but you'll pass quaint villages and farms along the way.

DAY 4

CHROMRONG

TEA HOUSE

Continue along the riverbank today and see the 23,000-foot Matterhorn spire Machhapuchhare on your right, then descend to Kyumnu Khola (river) and hike another mountain to Chromrong village (2,170m) and overnight. Here you can see some beautiful places to visit; Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchare and Gandharba Chuli. Today's journey takes about five hours.

DAY 5

DOVAN

TEA HOUSE

You set off downhill along a long section of steps to the valley floor before heading up the other side through farmland and forest to Sinuwa Danda. You continue through forest, adorned with orchids and ferns before walking through bamboo forests arriving at the village of Bamboo and onto where you stay at Dovan (2,600m). The walk today takes five hours.

DAY 6

DEURALI

TEA HOUSE

Today you will walk through the forest to a more mountainous area, the village of Deurali (3,200 m above sea level). Today it takes five to six hours to walk.

DAY 7

ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP

TEA HOUSE

Now you have crossed the tree line when you reach the gate of Annapurna Temple. You arrive at Machhapuchare Base Camp (3,658 m above sea level) and it will take three to four hours to walk. We recommend you to walk a little higher when you arrive, it will help you get used to it and if you are lucky, you can see the blue sheep of the region.

DAY 8

HIMALAYA

TEA HOUSE

Today it is the highlight of the hike as you walk through the heart of the sanctuary and enjoy the stunning views of Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna II, Roc Noir, Glacier Dome, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Machhapuchhare above you. Arrive at Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) at night. The journey takes about three hours.

DAY 9

CHROMRONG

TEA HOUSE

It is best to wake up before dawn to enjoy the sunrise over the surrounding mountains. As the sun rises, the snow-capped peaks gradually turn red, creating an incredible sight. Return to the small village in the Himalayas

DAY 10-11

LHANDRUK

LA BEE LODGE

Continue back down the path towards Chromrong with involves a few ups and downs, and unfortunately the last bit is up a steep section of steps.

DAY 12

POKHARA

TEMPLE TREE POKHARA

You will be picked up by your vehicle and driven straight out from Lhandruk and back to Pokhara, along a new track in a 4×4. You can spend the following day putting your feet up, have a dip in the pool, or head off to one of the many superb restaurants that line the lake.

DAY 13

KATHMANDU

THE INN AT PATAN

Fly back to Kathmandu for a stay on the edge of the Kathmandu Valley, complete with a superb spa which is perfect to iron out those trekking niggles.
